Happy 2024! The first game of the year is also the first from the unplayed games in my Steam library. Today it's 2064: Read Only Memories. It's a point-and-click adventure with a cyberpunk theme but is more bright and cheerful.

It's along the lines of classic point-and-click with a good amount of exposition, pixel hunting, and figuring out what items to use on what. It reminds me of another recent point-and-click, VirtuaVerse. Pixel-art adventure with a retro-future aesthetic and good soundtrack. But where VirtuaVerse was dark noir cyberpunk, 2064 is bubblegum bright.

It's a game I'd like to come back to.

NES NYE last night was a success. And today I'm going to some VR sandbox room where you and others run around with VR goggles and a gun and shoot zombies and things so that'll be fun.
